Turning our lives upside down

We had so much fun with Paul, Diana, Eliza and Megan over the weekend that we had to capture it in a photo.

Couch potatoes

Here we are, all on the couch in Idaho... where they grow potatoes. Get it?

Wheeeeeeee!

Dad feeds child unappetizing food

I think it was peas.

Zoo baby

Here are Tama and Liora at the Boise Zoo. Liora really, really needed to sleep, but the action was too exciting. Kids, animals, birds... how can you fall asleep at a time like this? Needless to say, several hours after her usual naptime, she zonked out on the car ride home.

Joy ride

I guess it looks like Liora is the happiest baby on the block, smiling and laughing her way through the blog. Here she enjoys a drive in our friend Paul's car through the Boise suburbs. But, really, she cried and fussed a lot, too. In the car, in the house and late, late at night. Just so you know, we all slept terribly at Paul and Diana's house, as Liora fought off some virus.

Did I mention the new camera?

So, I am taking these Idaho pictures with my new Nikon D40 SLR digital camera that I got for my birthday. It comes with a magnet that is attracted to babies. I am compelled, in fact, to take pictures of any within range.

Busy bee

Paul plays a tickling game with Liora. He buzzes like a bee and then tickles the back of her neck. She really got a kick out of it. Paul was a hit.

Bug on a rug

Notice the pre-crawling stance. Knees on ground, hands at shoulder width, torso suspended, head up. While in Idaho, she could really only go backwards, although she occasionally lurched forward in a kind of stumble-crawl. She was clearly on the cusp.

Shy girls

Liora, Tama and I visited our friend Paul and his family in Idaho over my birthday weekend. Here, Liora meets Eliza and Megan for the first time. While shy at first, they quickly warmed to each other and Liora could not get enough of the girls.
