Wondrous beings

I'll take both, please.

Remote control

Those who say "easy as taking a remote from a baby" have never tried taking a remote from a baby.

Like mother like daughter...

..... or the other way around.

Discovering Grass

We have fun at the park.

Blanket goes on ground. Baby sits on blanket. Baby lurches towards edge. Grabs grass and tries to eat. Put baby back on blanket. Rinse. Repeat

She's a keeper....

After 2 weeks of illness, our family is pulling out of a rough patch. Liora got the stomach flu 2 weeks ago, with all the niceties that go with it - fever included. Five days later, she gets a head cold and gets another fever. Three days later, I get her cold. And 2 days more, Tama gets the stomach flu. Liora was cranky a lot. Sleep was scarce. I was beginning to forget why kids are so great to have around.

Until today. Yeah! Happy baby is back. Here she is at the rose garden, enjoying some beautiful Bay Area weather.

Almost up!

Yep. Liora has now an uncontrollable desire to stand. She will take any opportunity and any risk. She must stand. She will stand.

In the last week, she has been able to stand without help (except to steady the floor gym). Soon, she'll be walking with aid.

And it will be the end of her parent's freedom to leave her play. Sigh...

I made it!

Oooooh.... what's this?

I'll just stand here and be cute...

Liora in ergo

This is Liora in the "Ergo" brand carrier. It was designed by parents who thought other carriers used too much shoulder muscle for support. It helps redistribute the weight to the hips and is great for carrying a baby on your back. Tama loves it. I won't be posting any pictures of me carrying her in this thing, however, as I can't figure out how to get the straps on.
