Born with a spoon in her mouth…

In the first few weeks of eating, we were very amused at her inability to distinguish between the food she was eating the spoon delivering it. We read that it was important for her eating skills to let her play with the spoon and stick her fingers in her mouth while full of food. But we really laughed when she was surprised that the food did not magically appear on the spoon when she was ready for the next bite. At this point (February) she seems pretty clear that we are putting the food on the spoon and she’s shifted most of her focus from the spoon to the next bite. “Like, I am ready. Now. Like, why aren’t you getting me more food? Mom, what’s the sign for ‘more’?”
