Key to happiness: love… or sleep?
Ah, Christmas day and the plethora of baby gifts. Here Liora plays with newly opened, wooden toy keys from her parents. For the week and a half that we spent with my family, she was a pretty happy baby. However, she got her first flu (from her father!) the day after Christmas, and there were subsequent moments of misery. Especially at night. When she woke up 10 times. And demanded comfort. I think by the end of our visit with my family, we realized (again) what a gift a full night’s sleep would be and, at the same time, realized we were to receive the equivalent of a lump of coal in our stocking for a long, long time. The good news is that this lovely child appears every day under our roof to bring us comfort and joy, year-round for an even longer time.
